'Other' Austrians: Post-1945 Austrian Women's Writing
Proceedings of the conference held at the University of Nottingham from 18-20 April 1996. Edited by Allyson Fiddler. This volume incorporates twenty essays on fifteen different Austrian women writers. New perspectives are brought to bear on some of the more established names and theoretical frameworks mobilised to review some of their thematic and formal concerns. Other contributors provide early and inspirational readings of recent works by Austrian women or of writings by lesser-known authors. The volume presents a sense of some of the many connections in post-1945 Austrian women's writing. More importantly, however, on the eve of the twenty-first century, 'Other' Austrians conveys something of the multifaceted nature of women's writing in general and of the important place occupied by Austrian women's writing more specifically. 247 Seiten, broschiert (Peter Lang Verlag 1998) Mängelexemplar/near mint
